The prunus lusitanica (Portuguese laurel) in the Italian garden were simultaneously trimmed today by Steve, John, Martin and Sam. I don’t think Sue gave marks out of ten for their efforts at clipping to umbrella shape!!
After a little light rain, the plants are growing a bit faster now and fortunately the weeds aren’t yet, so the Gardens are looking really good. The first dahlia is flowering, we picked the first courgette and tasted the first ripe blackcurrant for sweetness (they are nearly ready).
