“a wonderful private tour of this special place – and with delicious cakes!”
We are delighted to offer groups of 12 or more visitors the opportunity to come to the Gardens for a private tour - minimum of 10 on a Thursday. Snowdrop tours in February are particularly popular. Group visits can also be arranged specifically to see daffodils in March, the periploca in bloom in June or dahlias in the late summer/autumn; or to tie in with one of our Sunday public open days.
Local groups, tour groups and visitors from as far afield as the USA and Germany have visited us, as a day-trip or within a wider tour of East Anglia. Group visits are by arrangement and can be accommodated Thursday to Sunday.
Group visit fees for 2023 are £10.00 per person and visits last approximately two hours, maximum 2 1/2 hours. They include:
- entrance to the Gardens
- a fascinating talk or guided tour by one of our experienced guides, who will educate and enthral you with stories about the history of the Gardens, past inhabitants of Easton Lodge, including the Countess of Warwick, and the USAAF and RAF stationed on the Great Dunmow airfield next to the Gardens
- Garden Guide and map
- morning or afternoon tea/coffee and delicious homemade cake
We regularly update our visitor information and will inform booked-in Groups of any changes which may impact on their visit, should new covid regulations be introduced.
To check availability or to find out more information, either call 01371 876979 or email groupvisits@eastonlodge.co.uk or apply via the contact form on the right.
Groups smaller than 12 in number (10 on Thursdays) will be subject to a minimum charge of £120.
Please note the grounds of Warwick House are not included in the tour.
