Celebrating the nature in the Gardens. Tickets can be bought here right up to the time of the Open Day.

We will be joined by local naturalist Jono Forgham, who hopes to have barn owl pellets for dissection and moths to show and release. He will also lead nature rambles in the Gardens, looking for bugs and identifying bird song and butterflies. Essex Bat Group will be with us, with rescue bats to see, including our largest bat, the Noctule (who they have named Norbert!).

We will also be joined by Essex Wildlife Trust, the RSPB and the Woodland Trust and a local wood turner.

There will be a plant stall, jams and honey and our garden produce.

Tickets can be bought here. Season ticket holders and Friends of the Gardens will get priority parking. Detailed arrangements will be in place to provide for social distancing around Daisy’s catering outlet and the loos; and to provide hand sanitizer in appropriate places.

Locally sourced bacon, cheese or hummus rolls; homemade cakes; and hot and cold drinks will be available until they run out – or till 4.30pm.

More information is on our visitor information page.
