Mahonia brightens the Gardens

It was a bitter day. But our volunteers are hardy and enjoy coming to the Gardens to see what’s flowering and to get jobs done. This week the Mahonia was bringing colour to dark corners and there is also a lovely wispy orange Witch Hazel and silky pink Pussy Willow in our Japanese style garden at the bottom of the Glade. The Viburnum bodnantense are showing pink flowers and there was one tiny cyclamen and a primrose in flower too. Volunteers fanned out round the Gardens doing further tidying of fallen branches, after recent rains, and Steven was working on replacing guttering chewed by squirrels.
