Volunteers run the Gardens of Easton Lodge for the benefit of visitors and posterity! So the Trustees are always looking to welcome new volunteers and are holding a special open day on Thursday 22 March, for potential new volunteers to come and see what volunteering involves. Volunteers do gardening, restoration projects, maintenance of the structures in the gardens, archive work, baking cakes and welcoming visitors on open days – see Support us
The volunteer open day will involve a tour of the Gardens – in March the main delights are the trees breaking into leaf, a huge variety of daffodils and the birdsong heralding spring. There will be illustrative demonstrations of the tasks of the day. Come prepared for all weathers and a little light work. And bring your own lunch – hot drinks and homemade cake will be provided!
To register for the volunteer open day, leave a message on 01371 876979 – you will not be held to attending, but registering will indicate how much cake will be needed!
