Big trees, small trees, old trees, new trees – they all have a story to tell. Come and find out and learn about our champion trees!
Henry Girling will lead a talk/tour of the trees in the Gardens. He is an arboricultural expert who worked with Maynard Greville, the Countess’ son, who planted many of the trees in the Gardens.
There will be den building for children and willow weaving and woodturning displays and our beekeeper will be on site to explain all about the life of the bees. Essex Wildlife Trust will also join us.
Locally sourced bacon and cheese rolls will be available until 2.15pm.
Homemade cakes, hot and cold drinks will be available until 4.30pm or until they run out!
Music: Woodwind of Stortford
Guided tours will be available on the day.
