A lovely summer’s day at the Gardens and a chance to learn about local history, as our archivists will be displaying photos and stories about the Maynards, who owned the estate from 1590 and built the first Easton Lodge in 1597.

There will be a range of stalls, including a plant stall, a local wood turner, crafts and jams; and we will be joined by Essex Wildlife Trust.

Our volunteers will provide locally sourced bacon, cheese or hummus rolls; homemade cakes; and hot and cold drinks  until they run out – or till 4.00pm.

More information is on our visitor information page.
