Our annual celebration of apples and orchard produce, when
we invite visitors to press apple juice and taste it and a wide selection of apple and honey cakes and other produce. There should also be garden produce for sale.
The East of England Apples and Orchard Project and staff/volunteers from Cressing Temple Barns will be on hand to show heritage varieties of fruit and to help visitors identify the variety of their own apples. Our beekeepers will also join us and show how their bees live and make honey in their hive.
Children’s activities will be apple/bee related!
The gardens open from 11.30am until 5pm with the last entry at 4pm.
Locally sourced bacon and cheese rolls will be available until 2.15pm.
Homemade cakes, hot and cold drinks will be available until 4.30pm or until they run out!
Events: Cake tasting, tombola of Jams/Chutneys etc from the gardens, apple identification, apple juice
Stalls: Plants, Crafts, RSPB, our Beekeepers & Essex Wildlife Trust
Music: Bishop’s Stortford Ukelele Society will strum their stuff!
Adults entry £4.50
Children under 16 FREE
Dogs on leads welcome.
Guided tours will be available on the day.
