As in recent years we celebrate our apples, bees and orchard produce at our September open day. Entry by pre-booked ticket through Eventbrite is advisable, as the limited parking for those without tickets will be prioritised for Season Ticket holders and Friends.
The East of England Apples and Orchards Project and the Friends of Cressing Temple Gardens will help visitors appreciate APPLES and make apple juice! Bring your own apples for identification and learn about the breadth of produce that our orchards provide. Our beekeepers will be with us too, and visitors can meet a local wood turner who makes beautiful things from our wood – including apples! Deb Hart, a local willow weaver, local conservation coppicers, Essex Wildlife Trust and the Woodland Trust will also be with us. There will be a plant stall and we will have our Garden produce on sale and a tombola of garden jams, jellies and chutneys.
Children love our apple stalls and will also enjoy a special apple day trail.
The gardens open from 11.00am until 5pm with the last entry at 4pm.
Locally sourced bacon and cheese rolls will be available until 2.15pm.
Homemade cakes, hot and cold drinks will be available until 4.30pm or until they run out!
We have arrangements in place for ensuring social distancing as set out on our
visitor information page.
