Our Café, Archive & Merchandise

Daisy's Cafe

Our volunteers provide hot and cold drinks and home-made cakes for visitors to the Gardens. On Sunday Open Days they also provide locally sourced bacon rolls and cheese rolls and soup in the cooler months until 2.15 or they run out (no soup in June, July, August & September).

The Archive

The Archive presents the Trust’s extensive collection of photos and documents relating to the Gardens, the Countess of Warwick, Great Dunmow airfield and the wartime use of the Gardens and local memorials.

Merchandise

The Archive also houses a range of items for sale, including photo cards by a local photographer, snowdrop mugs and jugs, knitted items, including knitted elephants which are a reminder of the Countess’ elephant, Kim, and dibbers and other turned items.

At our Sunday Open Days through the main season, a local plantsman sells a range of shrubs and herbaceous plants and bulbs. There are a range of other merchandise stalls too.

Contact our enquiries line or send us a request through the contact form if you would like to arrange purchases by mail (post & packing would apply).

Garden Produce

On Open Thursdays and Sunday Open Days seasonal garden produce is available for sale, including snowdrops in the green in February and fruit and vegetables in the summer and autumn.
