We apologise for having to cancel this Open Day. Unfortunately further rain has left the Gardens and car park in a sorry state and the snowdrops are now going over. Advance tickets will be refunded. On the plus side the daffodils are coming out early! We hope to see you back at the Gardens soon. We will take a decision whether we can open for 29 February when we can see if the Gardens are drying out.
Snowdrops flourish under the trees under the trees at the front of the Gardens, in the walled kitchen garden and the Glade. Many of the common single and double blooms were planted in Victorian times or before. They are a favourite for visitors! Snowdrops are weather dependent and this year opened early and have been hit by the heavy rains we have had. Should they not be at their best, we hope visitors will enjoy seeing the early daffodils and other seasonal flowers. Snowdrops in the green on sale. The gardens open from 11.00am until 4pm with the last entry at 3pm.
Locally sourced bacon and cheese rolls and hot soup will be available until 2.15pm.
Homemade cakes, hot and cold drinks will be available until 3pm or until they run out! Dogs on leads welcome.
Guided tours will be available on the day . Adult entry £5.50 if bought in advance here or £6.50 on the gate.
Children under 16 FREE
Dogs on leads welcome. Advance tickets will be refunded if the Trust has to decide the Gardens cannot open, due to a significant risk to visitors and volunteers, for example from adverse weather or very poor ground conditions. For more information please visit our visitor information page.
