On May 8 2025 we will have a special exhibition remembering VE Day, 8 May 1945. There is a memorial area in the Gardens dedicated to those who gave their lives in WWII, operating from the airfield neighbouring the Gardens. Our Archivists’ exhibition will draw on stories and photos of the airmen and women who operated from the base.

We are open to visitors every Thursday through the season, from 11.00 to 3.00, last entry 2.00pm. Hot and cold drinks available and homemade cakes.

Visitors will enjoy a leisurely stroll around the Gardens

  • learning about the history of the Gardens from our extensive archive;
  • seeing and chatting to our hard-working volunteers; and
  • buying our seasonal garden produce.

Please note the neighbouring private gardens of Warwick House are not open to visitors on Open Thursdays, they are only open to visitors on Open Sundays.

Adult entry fee £5.50, children under 16 free entry. More information here. Dogs on leads welcome.
