The Trust’s archivists will engage visitors in the Tudor history of the Gardens. There will be a range of Tudor activities to enjoy, including archery and Tudor foods to sample. Advance tickets can be purchased here.

Archery, for older children and adults, will be provided by White Dragon Archery; and younger children will enjoy making cordage bangles and doing the garden trail.

There will be music through the day from the Colchester Waits, playing Tudor tunes on a range of instruments including shawms, trumpets, cornetts, sackbutts and fiddles. Lively and authentic!

Children and adults will also enjoy the Gardens in full bloom, the treehouse, and stalls.

Hot bacon/cheese/hummus rolls, homemade cakes and hold and cold drinks.

Adult entry £6.00 if bought in advance or £7.00 on the gate. Advance tickets can be purchased through Trybooking

Children under 16 FREE. Dogs on leads welcome.

Advance tickets will be refunded if the Trust has to decide the Gardens cannot open, due to a significant risk to visitors and volunteers, for example from adverse weather or very poor ground conditions.
