On a cold (and slightly showery) day, volunteers kept warm working hard clearing weeds from the paving, while others started shaping the Portuguese laurel umbrellas in the Italian Garden. Elsewhere young trees and vegetable seedlings had to be watered (again) because of the lack of rain.
It was lovely to welcome two Groups visiting the Gardens and to ensure that one of the visitors’ thoroughly enjoyed her 80th birthday!
