Yellow canary bird roses and pink helianthemums in Peto’s Italian Garden, lush greens everywhere, brilliant orange in the Japanese style garden, purple flowering herbs in the walled kitchen garden and the tail end of the bluebell season on the wildflower banks. We are just missing RED, but that is coming as the poppy buds are swelling! We should have a full set by the time of our Nature Day on Sunday 18 May.
It was another gloriously sunny day at the Gardens, but with lots of discussion about how to make the most of the water we have stored in butts, as the dry spell continues.
