The bees are loving the rosemary hedges

It was a lovely day for our visitors on Sunday. The walled kitchen garden was looking gorgeous, with the rosemary hedges in the herb border in full flower, blousy blossom on lots of the fruit trees and the first crop available for sale: rhubarb. Elsewhere, the daffodils are still looking good; the cowslips are coming out; and the bluebells are beginning to poke through in the woods, although not yet releasing their subtle scent.

At the weekend families enjoyed the activities, music and the Easter trail. On Thursdays visitors enjoy chatting to our volunteers about their gardening; and can seek out our new trail of the Countess’ animals. The Garden games are available for those who want to linger.
