It was so lovely for volunteers working today – and we got a huge amount done, as well as finding time for training sessions on the mower and on taking hardwood cuttings. We cut back perennials in the Italian Garden, weeded, pruned roses, planted into the cornus bed, put up fencing to stop the deer trashing new hedging, dug out veg beds, completed a new stairpost and of course some seasonal leaf clearance. And we had time for a cuppa, cake and chat in the sunshine too.
