This week volunteers worked hard to tidy the Gardens ahead of Sunday’s Open Day, removing the weeds so the border colour stands out. The trees are also looking lovely, with fresh leaves wafting in the breeze. The towering rose and the clematis in the crab apple near the gate are the current pick of the Garden. On Sunday, we will celebrate the Tudor history of the gardens, and enjoy music from the Colchester Waits, Archery and other activities and stalls.
