It was a gorgeous day – sunny and not windy, so warm enough to take time to focus on the beautiful details you can find in the Gardens – like this Fatsia japonica flower.
We also planted shrubs, prepared the dahlia border for overwintering, cut back perennials, pruned gooseberries, collected leaves for leaf mould, tidied away branches brought down by Storm Bert and more. A day of working outdoors, strengthening friendships and bringing a sense of achievement. Lovely.
