Beautiful, even on an overcast day

The Gardens were looking beautiful for the Open Day last weekend, despite it being an overcast day and visitors thoroughly enjoyed the nature activities on offer.

Volunteers and Open Thursday visitors this week were treated to warm sunshine. This meant weeding, strimming, pulling thistles was hard graft, but with big jobs there is big reward, from seeing a massive difference! The dahlia border and the runner beans will very much welcome the warmer weather too as hopefully it will allow them to outpace the nibbling slugs. Sam and Richard have also added in some fresh dahlias, brought on offsite. So, by the next Open Day on 25 July we should have another layer of colour in the Gardens!
