More daffs!

What a lovely day we had at the Gardens this week – spring was definitely in the air. With most volunteers now back and working, spread around the Gardens, we got a lot done. Planting of magnolias in the Glade; planting of more grasses in the Japanese and the Italian gardens; lots of weeding – removing pesky garlicky alliums from around the Italian garden (we are happy to have them in the woods though!) and thinning down excessive quantities of self-seeded love-in-the mist and herbs in the walled kitchen garden; and more work on the paths. And spring cleaning of Daisy’s to start getting ready for the first Open Day of the season, on 18 April.
