GSK volunteers joined us today and worked hard to keep warm. They constructed more raised beds for the end of the walled kitchen garden; and painted our lovely black iron chairs.

Elsewhere we filled the leaf mold bin with fresh leaves (no doubt there will be more to rake next week!!); added more herbaceous border plants to the Italian Garden and took out the junipers ready for replacement yews (we have decided the junipers cannot be a long-term option); and removed pendulous sedge near the fishing lake.

All fueled by yummy mince pies – thank you Janet!!
