The pumpkins are escaping their beds and the squashes are climbing walls and many have already ripened in the heat of July/early August. Normally, we would expect squashes to be ready for our September Open Day, but some will be ripe for sale at next weekend’s August open day.
With more rain this week, we are also hoping that, by the time of the Open Day, the grass will have greened, the borders filled out a bit, the raspberries and apples will be plumping up and the fish in the pond and the trees will not be quite so stressed!
