Well we complained it was too cold and wet….

We are keeping our fingers crossed that we will keep this wall-to-wall sunshine for the Open Day on Sunday – but we wouldn’t mind if it were a bit cooler!

The plants are probably confused too ….the grass is growing apace, which makes it even more evident where we are not mowing, to allow the snowdrops to multiply and in other areas to leave well alone the cowslips and bluebells that are just coming and to let other late spring and summer wild flowers do their stuff later!

A whole host of jobs got done today, with at least some in welcome shade. The Italian Garden had a good weeding and planting makeover. More fencing went round other new plantings to keep the deer from feasting. And David cracked on with more carpentry jobs.
