Over 300 people came to the Gardens on Saturday 14 April to take part in the Helen Rollason Rural Ramble! The sun shone, the trees were bursting into leaf and the birds were singing and the ramblers set off on routes of 10 or 4 miles on the lanes and paths in the countryside around the Gardens. Less energetic folk wandered through the Gardens enjoying the Spring weather and appreciating Peto’s garden design in the Courtyard beside Warwick House, the backfront lawn and Italian Garden and of course the treehouse. All reassembled for their cream tea and to listen to the Dunmow Wind Band. Our volunteers and volunteers from the Helen Rollason Charity  made sure everyone had a great day and suggested this should become a regular event.
