“The alliums and lupins are looking fab

so visitors to the Open Day on Sunday 21st should really enjoy the Italian Garden, after a good blitz on weeds there this week and some more new planting. Meanwhile in the walled kitchen garden the grass is really greening up, responding well to Rod and Roger’s cutting and tlc and of course the welcome rain; seedlings are also coming on and there are splashes of colour already from established flowers and herbs.  The rill pond with its gunnera will also have enjoyed the rain. And the less formal planting around the gardens is also looking lovely – the daisies in the grass & the cow parsley!”
