We were delighted to welcome 35 visitors from Germany on Tuesday who had come to the Gardens especially to see our snowdrops. They weren’t disappointed; the snowdrops looked spectacular, especially where they were sharing space and sunshine with the aconites in the bosquet. We all felt that spring must only be just around the corner. Following a guided tour with Angus, Sue and Claire, they enjoyed tea/coffee and homemade cakes served with a welcoming smile from Carolyn and had time to look at the historical photographs and records in the archive building before boarding their coach again to return to the ferry and home. We all thoroughly enjoyed the day – and there’s no doubt that they did too.

Don’t miss your chance to see our snowdrops on our two “Snowdrop Sundays” – February 19 and 26. We’re open from 11.30am to 4pm (last entry 3pm). Admission is £4 for adults and entry is free for children under 16. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
