Twenty volunteers from GSK descended on the gardens on Thursday and they all worked their socks off.

The tea pavilion got a new coat of pain as you can see from the picture above.

The base for our new archive building was dug out and then filled with type 1 aggregate - kindly donated by Highwood Quarry.

Rubbish was cleared, bricks were sorted, gravel laid, trees tamed - ...

We are hugely grateful to Malcolm Danford & Co. for donating 40 tree labels to the gardens to identify some of our more unusual trees.

These will all be up before our next open day and will be useful for both our visitors and our guides.
