VOLUNTEERS’ GET-TOGETHER - MON 29 MARCH 2010 8PM ONWARD
Looking forward to meeting up this evening around 8pm-8.30pm at The Three Horsehoes pub in Duton Hill to review the snowdrop season and plan for the spring and summer openings - not long to go now! New volunteers always welcome!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! update 29 March 2010
We have had a tremendous Snowdrop Season which ran from 21 Feb up to 14 March, all of which was planned and operated by our volunteer group. The tasks involved included:
- cake baking and soup making
- setting out the Courtyard for refreshments
- putting up posters
- serving the refreshments
- car park marshalling
- greeting visitors and taking entrance money
- clearing away
- numerous admin bits
- and, yes, gardening!
If you are as hooked on the Gardens as we all are, don’t mind too much what you do as long as there’s some fun in it, and feel you might be able to join what has developed into a fantastic group of like-minded people, please come along this evening and meet us or get in touch (click here for details).

Following on from the tremendous show of support which you gave us on Sunday 9 August, when approximately 2,000 visitors came to see the Gardens once more, we are delighted to report that we have recruited a further 40+ volunteers, whose enthusiasm, skills and sense of adventure are helping us on our way to re-open!
