A fun activity

The wisps weren’t very long to play with this year, but Clare still managed to create a lovely swirly crown for the willows by the rill pond. It was a cool morning, when Ian and Tony were planting trees in a small glade and Sue was sowing wild flower seeds. But later the sun broke through and climbed a bit higher, so we all got some heat up, raking in leaves, cutting back hellebore leaves, dahlias and other perennials and moving/sorting woodpiles. It is amazing how many more leaves there are compared to last year, which was memorable for the mast. The leaf bins are full to bursting and we should make lots of lovely leaf mold for future mulching.
