More tidying across the Gardens

It is great to see volunteers back, tackling more essential tidying around the Gardens. Weirdly, few leaves came down in the autumn, but they have now. So Valerie, Ann & Lynne did more raking to tidy them off the grass and put in the bins to make leaf mold.

In the Italian garden and other borders, it was another day for pruning: Sue cut down the Pheasant Berry and other shrubs had a strict haircut. Margaret tackled the front border, where the lovely frilly hellebores are looking fantastic. Jacqueline, Sue and Steph tidied the Japanese garden.

Meanwhile, Steven, Terry and Richard were hard at work on the entrance path. It has been a huge labour but will be a vast improvement for visitors arriving at the Gardens.
