Wet, wet, wet

Our volunteers aren’t put off by the rain though and Carolyn, Christine, Claire, David, Roger and Terry got some useful jobs done… shifting things to make room for winter work in the polytunnel, some tidying in the Italian Garden and building of bird and bug boxes for sale in 2019.

There was a big long list of stuff that couldn’t get done in the conditions, so we will have lots to do next week – and of course at this time of year it is also good to reflect on the season just past and to make plans for next year. This week’s photo is from October last year…and so allows the game of spot the difference! The lavender and michaelmas daisies have enjoyed the hot weather and this year are even bigger whereas the penstemon are sparser.  The top of the glade this year has been just as spectacular as last year.
