The Handkerchief Tree was looking magnificent today, with the hankies blowing in the breeze against a clear blue sky, with the Glade framed with the frothy white of cow parsley. Hopefully they will still be looking stunning for the Open Day on 20 May.
A huge amount of gardening got done … Claire had her first go on the mower in the walled garden, while others were strimming, pruning, cutting and laying edges. Of course, many volunteers were focused on weeding – as the weeds are growing just as fast as the herbaceous plants.
